Fashion in the park

Hi,

greetings from Germany where I have been the last few days now. Just before I got here though I did a shoot with Jenna in the park. Before we started we got 2 hats for the shoot and then shot in the park. Weather was great, lovely blue sky and not to warm though it was very windy making the hats fly away from time to time.
We shot for a number of hours changing the tops and playing with the hats. Really like the shadow the white hat was throwing onto Jenna's face.
Most the time I was using my 70-200 zoom to get close up shots and to get the shallow depth of field I wanted for those shots. The images below are not retouched at all and just been slightly colour edited in Lightroom.
All in all I had a great shoot and besides a good shoot we had as well a good time in the sun.

Once more a big thank you Jenna, hope we will do some more shoots in the near future.
Next week I then will be going to Malta to a beautiful Villa to assist at a workshop. Last few spaces are selling now at a last min price, so any of you interested in a last minute shoot please email me.

For all other enquiries feel free to check my webpage, email me and check out my Facebook and Twitter for regular updates. Have a nice day and leave some feedback below.

Thanks

Moritz

A colourful Fashion Shoot

Hi,

Sorry for not having posted anything recently... weather just hasn't been on my side for outdoor shoots.
Well, after a small break I am back and did a fashion shoot yesterday with stylist Sam, makeup artist Jieun, hair stylist Lily and model Rosie from 'First'.
We had 5 different outfits, 3 quite colourful ones and 2 less colourful ones designed by Sam herself.
As we didn't have much time, we started to get ready at a cafe, doing makeup and started blowing up balloons... at least I was quicker than the pump but at the end started to feel slightly dizzy, well I guess after blowing up 20 or so balloons in a short time I could have expected that.
With the first 2 outfits (self designed ones) we had a more natural look on Rosie, open hair and very natural makeup. I used a big Octa softbox and a beauty dish to get my lighting and a bit of a side light from camera left to reduce some shadow.
For the next shoot we then placed the balloons on the floor, though not very visible in the shots as they were white as well they gave some nice reflections. For those shots hair was styled up and small touch up on makeup as well. Lighting for those shots were one hair light, soft box on camera right as fill, beauty dish above model and a strip softbox for the backdrop.
With the last 3 outfits we started at 4:45 and we had to be done shooting at 5:30 so 15min per outfit incl change so it was a bit of a rush but it worked out well. After the shooting we then had to pop all 50 balloons, was surprised nobody checked what was going on....

Next big thing for me now is a week trip to Malta to assist on a workshop, for those of you in the UK, believe me, I am looking forward to escaping this weather for a week.

As always, again a huge thank you to all involved in the shoot, though rushed at the end we got some good shots out of it.
For any enquries please feel free to visit my webpage or email me directly. Also, come and check out my facebook, place where I post behind the scene shots and post updates and follow my Twitter.

Have a great week

Those images have been only edited in Lightroom and have not been retouched.

Fashion Shoot

Hey,

weather in UK hasn't been very kind to us lately, so now I am really looking forward to a weeks trip to Malta in June, assisting and shooting at a photography workshop (one space left for trip in June, so if interested message me - email at the end).
But besides the rainy days I managed to do a shoot with a girl I have met at Alternative Fashion Week, Tonya... AFW gave her a taste of modelling and we then arranged her first actual shoot. One of her friends was helping with the clothes and we had makeup artists Claire Mould to do the makeup.
We started in a small private park next door and then moved inside later on to escape the rain and the cold.
Everyone did great and it was a nice and relaxed shoot, and I am real proud of Tonya, she did great for her first shoot.
Outdoors I wanted to have a real soft look to the pictures so was shooting on F2.8 most the time and I was using a small octa softbox to give me some extra light and compensate for the missing sunlight.
Inside I then used again the softbox plus one extra light against the ceiling to get to bit more light and less shadow in the back.
I did the post production in Lightroom, changed some exposure, saturation, contrast and few other adjustments.

Should you have any other enquries please feel free to visit my webpage or to email me here. Or follow my facebook or twitter and get updates on shoots and be the first to hear about new blogs.

Have a great day.
