Fashion in the park

Hi,

greetings from Germany where I have been the last few days now. Just before I got here though I did a shoot with Jenna in the park. Before we started we got 2 hats for the shoot and then shot in the park. Weather was great, lovely blue sky and not to warm though it was very windy making the hats fly away from time to time.
We shot for a number of hours changing the tops and playing with the hats. Really like the shadow the white hat was throwing onto Jenna's face.
Most the time I was using my 70-200 zoom to get close up shots and to get the shallow depth of field I wanted for those shots. The images below are not retouched at all and just been slightly colour edited in Lightroom.
All in all I had a great shoot and besides a good shoot we had as well a good time in the sun.

Once more a big thank you Jenna, hope we will do some more shoots in the near future.
Next week I then will be going to Malta to a beautiful Villa to assist at a workshop. Last few spaces are selling now at a last min price, so any of you interested in a last minute shoot please email me.

For all other enquiries feel free to check my webpage, email me and check out my Facebook and Twitter for regular updates. Have a nice day and leave some feedback below.

Thanks

Moritz

Art Nude shoot

Hey,

hope you are well.
Had a number of shoots over the last 2 weeks so a few more blogs to come to show some of my latest work, but for today, I will talk about my last shoot, an art nude shoot with model Elle Black.
She has access to an old school where we did the shoot. After a tour around the building I already had some ideas in mind for different rooms, though to be honest there was so much more to do but time just wasn't enough.
First we started with a shoot with an old Victorian dress from 1901 outside the school building, luckily enough, weather was good so though we make use of it. I had one octa softbox on my flash which I used whenever the clouds covered the sun (so basicly every 2 min switiching flash on and off, change settings on camera and back 2 min later).

After the Victorian dress we went into one of the classrooms with large windows. Already on the tour I just thought of the image, standing in the window with the silhouette of her against the light. I was shooting on 1/200 with F2.8 and ISO 100 most the time against the window though changed shutter up and down depending on how much light I wanted on her. Had a reflector up however as the sun at that point was behind clouds the effect was non visible.

Next we went into the old indoor basketball court which was still set up for the last exam that took place at the school (there is a plain shot on my facebook wall here). The court with all those empty tables and chairs and the echo reminded of a Horror movie and thats what I wanted to show in my pictures. Had a few shots that showed the entire room though my favourite shots where real dark images lit with one softbox from the side giving just enough light to see her as well as a bit of the tables around her. Again shot on F2.8 with a fast shutter speed to get the darkness into the room yet to get the focus just on her.

Last room we used was the old theater with huge windows on the top creating a great shadow when the sun was out which I managed to capture towards the end.
Before that, I shot from the balcony down capturing her lying down on the wooden floor. To get some light I used again the octa softbox high up shooting down.

Leave a comment below, would love to hear your feedback.

Once again, huge THANK YOU to Elle for the shoot, great model and great location.

Another male fashion shoot

Hey

on Friday I did another shoot with model and artist David White.
We started of with some smoke grenade shots which however I cannot use yet as they might get used for publication but lets put it this way, it got real smokey indoors. After that we did some more editorial shots indoors as well as on the roof in beautiful sunshine.
I wanted a real soft look and using a lot of natural light and flares created by the sunshine. I used one flash as fill light to create some light on the face. Then I wanted to have some shots with a real dark blue sky and just some sunlight on David, various edits of this below.
The golden gas mask he was wearing gave a different look and feel to the images and the strong sunlight from behind helped to create the look I wanted on the first shots.
Besides the bad air after the smoke grenades indoors we had great weather and a fun shoot. Have a look below and see what you think.

I edited the shots as usual with Lightroom, however as there were quite a few shots that I really liked I thought for a change I arrange them in pairs with a bit of a frame. Besides that the images have not been retouched.

To see some of his artwork visit Endless and for more of my work visit my webpage.
Also please do like my Facebook to hear about new shoots and be the first to hear about new blogs as well as currently a competition to win a free photoshoot.
Should you have any enquiries please email me here.

Which is your favourite shot? Let me know below...

Have a nice day and thanks as always for reading.
